Terms of Service

    Last updated 2 October 2026

    Please read these terms before using Plabster. The short version: Plabster is a study aid, not medical advice; free credits are used only when you speak; monthly plans renew until you cancel; and please don't put real patient data into practice sessions.

    1. About these terms

    These terms are an agreement between you and Plabster ("we", "us") for your use of plabster.com and its practice tools (the "Service"). By signing in or using the Service you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

    2. Educational use only — not medical advice

    Plabster is a study aid for the PLAB 2 and UKMLA clinical exams. Scenarios and patients are fictional and simulated by AI. Nothing on the Service is medical advice or a substitute for clinical training, supervision or official guidance from the GMC.

    AI-generated patient replies, scores and feedback can be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your own judgement and check important points against trusted sources. Plabster is not affiliated with or endorsed by the GMC, and we cannot guarantee any exam result.

    3. Your account

    • You must be at least 18 and sign in with your own Google account.
    • Keep your account to yourself; you're responsible for activity on it.
    • Give accurate details, and keep your nickname free of anything offensive or impersonating.
    • You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing info@plabster.com.

    4. Free credits, plans and billing

    • Free credits — new accounts get 3 free practice credits. A credit is used only when you speak in a station, not when you just open one. Free credits have no cash value.
    • Foundation and Advanced — monthly subscriptions that renew automatically each month at the price shown at checkout until you cancel.
    • Mastery — a one-time payment for 3 months of access. It does not renew.
    • Prices are shown in GBP at checkout and payments are processed by Stripe. Features included in each plan are listed on our pricing page.

    Cancelling

    You can cancel a subscription anytime from Manage billing in Settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

    Refunds

    If something isn't right, email info@plabster.com and we'll look at refund requests case by case. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

    Changes to prices

    If we change the price of a subscription, we'll tell you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal, so you have time to cancel.

    5. Acceptable use

    When using Plabster, please don't:

    • enter real patient information or anyone else's confidential data;
    • copy, scrape, resell or republish our scenarios, mark schemes or other content;
    • share your account or try to get around credit, plan or usage limits;
    • attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
    • use the Service to harass anyone or for anything unlawful.

    We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

    6. Content and intellectual property

    The Service — including scenarios, mark schemes, software, design and branding — belongs to Plabster or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own exam preparation.

    Your transcripts, notes and feedback stay yours. You allow us to store and process them to run the Service for you. If you agree to publish a review, you allow us to show it, with your first name and photo, on our website until you ask us to remove it.

    7. Sessions with doctors

    If you book a session with one of our doctors through Calendly, it is a teaching and exam-preparation session, not a medical consultation. Calendly's own terms apply to the booking itself.

    8. Availability and changes

    We work to keep Plabster available and improving, which means we may add, change or remove scenarios and features. We aim to give notice of changes that significantly affect paid plans. The Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

    9. Our liability

    We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We don't exclude liability where it would be unlawful to, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

    Otherwise, we are not liable for exam outcomes, for decisions you make based on AI feedback, or for business losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

    10. Ending the agreement

    You can stop using Plabster and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms; if we end a paid plan for a reason other than your breach, we'll refund the unused part.

    11. Changes, law and contact

    We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you about significant changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
